daß das Unternehmen die Domain SexShop.com erworben hat. AdultShop.com
wird noch in diesem Jahr eine Webseite unter dieser Domain online
stellen, auf der neben entsprechenden Produkten auch Adult Entertainment

und diese Akquisition ist der logische Schritt jetzt auch in den äußerst

Marriner, Newswire Locking in the right domain name is becoming a
costly business. Online erotic retailer AdultShop.com has spent around
$500,000 buying the sexshop.com domain name from an LA company. AdultShop.com
managing director Malcolm Day told Newswire the Web site receives
"considerable type-in traffic". "The top three words searched for
on the Internet are free, shop and sex," he said. "We've got two out
of three, which, as Meatloaf would say, ain't bad." Having the right
domain name figures very prominently in the AdultShop.com business
strategy. After a protracted battle, AdultShop.com finally got its
hands on the adultshop.com.au domain in March after the owners let
the registration expire (see story). "It's imperative to have the
right domain name and to spend the right amount of money marketing
that brand name," Day said. "You have to pick a domain name with an
international flavour." AdultShop.com intends to relaunch the SexShop.com
site later this year, selling adult products and providing adult entertainment,
including both the sale and the broadcast of adult movies over the
Internet. Day shrugged off the thorny issue of Australia's Internet
censorship legislation. "We won't be hosting the site here," he said.
"Australia's new Internet laws are a joke. Every Australian site issued
with a take-down notice has just moved offshore." SexShop.com will
be promoted as an international brand, targeted at men in Australia,
